As reported by True Scoop News, he sued the internet personality for referring to him as a part of the “violent and abusive trolls.” Nakhua has reportedly sought a permanent injunction against the 29-year-old YouTuber to restrain him from “posting, tweeting, publishing, creating, or sharing” derogatory and harmful material against him or BJP on online as well as offline platforms. The BJP leader has also sought compensation of Rs 20,00,000 from Dhruv for defaming him.

For those who are wondering what exactly happened, it all started after Rathee posted a video on his YouTube channel titled “My Reply to Godi Youtubers | Elvish Yadav | Dhruv Rathee” on July 7. The video was a response to the Bigg Boss OTT season 2 winner’s multiple accusations. Through his video, the YouTuber went on to highlight the social media accounts Prime Minister Narendra Modi used to follow in the past. He highlighted PM Modi’s social media following list to counter Elvish’s accusations about him being friends with a user who has penned vile and abusive comments on social media.

Elvish had also hinted at Dhruv’s link with a particular political party. In response to the allegations the latter made a video highlighting how PM Modi used to follow accounts of “violent and abusive trolls.” At 6:15 minutes of the video, Dhruv is heard saying, “PM Modi was following social media handles of  'violent and abusive trolls' like Avnish Choubey, Ankit Jain, Suresh Nakhua & Tajinder Bagga” while also sharing screenshots of an abusive tweet written by Nakhua. This has led him into legal trouble.

In the defamation suit filed against Rathee, Google LLC, and X Corp (formerly known as Twitter), Nakhua mentions that video which refers to him as a part of the abusive and violent trolls was uploaded for “no rhyme or reason,” in order to harm his reputation. The report further reads, “Through this cunningly crafted video, a deliberate campaign to besmirch the Plaintiff’s integrity and reputation is apparent, as baseless accusations and malicious connections are artfully insinuated.”

Suresh Nakhua also added how the defamatory statements made by Dhruv Rathee have severely damaged his reputation and caused irreparable harm to his personal and professional life.
